You can say that again. In our town none of the vaccinations are being given at individual GP surgeries. It’ll all being done through a health alliance (which they are all part of) in our local Council offices.

Thanks for your response. I asked my GP surgery about Group 6 again yesterday and they said not yet. They thought it would be at least another couple of weeks. I am registered as a carer with the GP but am not sure how to register with NHS in case they start calling the next groups before the GP. Does anyone know how to do this please?

Hi Carol. I tried to chase this up myself on Wednesday evening by phoning NHS 119 and sending out a few emails. On the 119 number all the agent could so with her system is try and book me in which of course didn’t work, and my emails haven’t had a reply yet. I’ll report back here when/if they do.
I’d like to think the NHS lists mirror the locally surgery lists but I’m not 100% convinced. Prior to all this local surgeries, chemists and the NHS were often using different databases that often didn’t marry up.

Well S has received a letter today to say his PA who we employ with direct payments is eligible for a vaccine but that he isn’t yet …
He has autism and a learning disability, he wears a mask but doesn’t understand social distancing, so when out we have to now link arms/hold hands meaning he has lost confidence to walk independently when in quiet places. He also has a tendency to touch things as because he has tics he touches his face. However, he has a moderate learning disability because he can read and write and do maths (basic level.) He isn’t in group 6.

I have seen on local forums that a lot of people are not happy that paid PAs have been having jabs for weeks even though they are not working! What sense does that make?
My LD daughter hasn’t been called, nor have I yet her PA has. She got a letter many weeks ago telling her she could have one and had it last week no problem. She got there and they offered her husband one as they “have some spare”. he has nothing whatsoever to do with us and is 10 years younger than me.
I spoke to one Mum whose daughter’s PA has not worked for them since last March but she has had it too although her and her daughter haven’t.

I had my covid oxford jab today. Signed up for a new G.P. practice over the weekend and booked this morning after receiving a text and received it this afternoon. One side effect I have noticed myself is the muscle in my leg started aching and a little bit in my neck.
